Project
AH Keramik is a Danish ceramic brand design & produced by Amalie Hammershøi.
The texture of different materials aligned with a delicate design practice inspires Amalie to create her beautiful ceramic pieces. Mostly tableware all done by hand reveals her inspirations, her talent and attention to every detail .
We visited our client's studio several times during the process of creating the solution. Our intention was to learn about her practise and personality so we could align with the visual communication and be inspired by her creation place.
Approach
My vision was to highlight the products, and through them transmit our client's values. I chose to use the product pictures hover to fill them with an object, this would ensure a straight notion of scale and we could use objects that related to our brand and our clients, creating a emotional relation between the client and the brand.
Challenges
Our client faced several difficulties, for example a low budget for future implementations or changes on the website therefore we decided to use Shopify since we guarantee that they will be able to implement changes and manage the website independently. We also had in consideration the trustability issues that a Wordpress solution could bring to the client and her clients.
Results
The problem our client faced was mainly the high comissions charged by physical stores to sell her products. The fees amount closely to 50% of the final price, leaving a huge chunk of her profits behind. We still concluded with Amalie that should mantain her presence at thi sphysical stores since not only brings recognition, it might also direct some clients to her website.
